Musk advises employees to avoid unnecessary meetings. Feasible with an AI-based Proj Management Meeting Room!

Project Management (PM), is a stream of Management in itself.

Elon Musk says that you shouldn’t attend meetings where you are not needed or where you don’t have any value to offer.

If you want to break the current Project Management structure, you need to change the rules and give employees the power to avoid unnecessary meetings, which do not currently exist.

Not everyone follows Scrum; some follow other PM methodologies. So Elon is calling for new PM principles.

This can be done with AI, where you can just log in to your future Scrum Master/PM Meeting Room, mark yourself present, provide your quick reason for absence, and continue with your work.

If we follow Elon Musk, the job of Scrum Master/PM would be deprecated, as employees would decide whether to attend meetings or not, as Elon Musk has stated.

You get to know what is going on with the product you are part of.

There are fundamental differences between meetings in startup companies and those in big tech companies.

For a startup, one-to-one interactions occur frequently, almost every other day; you don’t need to worry about meetings, as stakeholders will find you when needed.

However, for small-scale and large firms, this is not the case; products are planned, and Gantt charts are created well before release. The whole project is planned weeks in advance. People are considered elite resources here. Work is assigned weeks before. So, whether to attend a meeting or not is not a decision of the individual yet; it’s a decision of the Project Manager.

For a department-level meeting, you gain insight into where the department is headed.

Same for company-level meetings

Knowing the stocks and shares of a company is also helpful.

So, if Elon Musk wants to change something in Project Management. Here is how it can happen,

Please inform your Project Manager that you are not needed for a particular meeting. Kindly remove your name from the agenda or log in to the future Scrum Master AI App and mark a quick reason.

If you follow Scrum Project Management principles, you need to ask permission from the Scrum Master if you want to be absent from a meeting.

For other meetings, attend and participate, but ensure that you log the time spent on those meetings in your personal board (a future feature) so that it is properly recorded.

Otherwise, project tracking, scheduling, and monitoring would fall apart.

So that people don’t have to worry whether they fit into a meeting or not.
