“Is this about comfort driving with the warmth of a machine?”
Does this means, Robotics will come with sentience now?
My views: I personally feel that we can drive our cars, but features like Sentience would be nice in the cars we usually drive. And self driving cars can be kept for use in forest fires, and more.
Sentient Cars, Intelligent cars, Self-Driving Software, Upgrades in the latest cars. Would self-driving cars be much safer to drive on roads now?
When are other players apart from Tesla too providing it ?
Cars with Sentience means Robots too would come with sentience?
Sentient Cars- “human life feeling, hearing, seeing, or smelling other beings.”
Imagine, we touching the glass window of the car, and the window speaks, “Do you want to feel the rain outside? Should I give you a glimse of rain falling?” This would be perfect sentience for me. What is perfect sentience for you?
Another example: my coffee fell on my lap in the car as it bumped. The car said to me, “ — — I am sorry, Have a towel, I am really sorry, hope it was not that hot?” I say, “No it was not that hot.” The car says, Please take this towel. The car says, “I am sad to see your driving experience mood spoiled.”
But wait, who are we talking to? A car? Was talking to a robot better?
What are all of these features we want in cars?
Would it disturb driving?
I personally want as little disturbance as possible when I am driving a car.
Your choice may be different.
Looking to the future, we aim to ensure responsiveness in cases such as when a driver is not feeling well. In that case, the car informing it would be great. But this is a paradox as a car is a self-driving car.
So, what would sentient cars be like, making everyone in a car comfortable?
Making the car ambience warm would be even better.
But how much is enough?
And how much is safe to have?
Are we ready for sentient cars? I would like it, but when we are driving it! What would the combination of sentient cars with self driving automation be like?
What we want is safe driving, where there is comfort to sit and reach the destinations.
Other features, such as maps, interaction with the car, air flow and leisure, also matter.
They say reinforcement learning is used. Can we have the data? And how reinforcement learning was used.
Some trials demo?
But for now, we want safety first.
And I can drive on our own if the car is sentient, to explore what comfort driving with the warmth of a machine is.
