Are Machines Ready to be CEO?

Or Assistant to Top Jobs!

Note: The article is also on authors other social media accounts as well.

My answer is No, as of now, partially yes to be an assistant! Here is why!

Integrating all kinds of AI algorithms in one robot shall still take some time, months if not weeks. Using only chapGPT to suggest solutions to team is not enough to be a CEO. What is needed is real time solutions, decision making, more given below, if one is doing something more than ChatGPT then it’s recommendable.

Let us understand this as follows. To reach the level of top executives, directors we need the AI-based machine to check the following checklist:

  1. Machines to do independent decision-making as humans do.
  2. Machines to infer problems the same way, and can they provide solutions the way humans do?
  3. Machines to acquire audio-video data and convert it into information that can be understood and interpreted in a logical form?
  4. Machines to talk and convey the decisions when needed?
  5. Machines to do processing of information about daily variability in the market pertaining to the company?
  6. Machines to care about things such employee moral boosting?

..and so on

Many of these theories are ready but they are in research papers, we need to take them out and put the entities from the organization to work with them. This would take time, to actually make all these entities in the existing software’s.

There can be many more points, but what must be understood now is what tools we have for machines to provide such sophisticated solutions?

Here are the AI tools that can be included in a robot to make it take intelligent independent decisions:

  1. Generative AI using a version of GPT, such as chatGPT. And to understand the said and heard language.
  2. Image Processing toolkits.
  3. Natural Language Processing toolkits.
  4. Speech recognition toolkits.
  5. Decision Making software’s.
  6. Analytics and data processing software’s.
  7. Business Knowledge such as share prices, market rates, and so on.
  8. Knowledge about the company, understanding the company.
  9. Understanding employee needs and the structure of hierarchy.
  10. Aim all these with profit-making with a goal of employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and improvement in products that are delivered.
  11. Many other points can be listed here, let’s focus on the main points as of now.

Now with these tools, we can compute how efficiently a machine can fit in the roles of a top executive, or other roles in a company. chatGPT is working very nicely but at times it too looks weird in the output produced and hence a company can’t rely just on chatGPT to make a robot a senior manager or director of a company.

But none of the above toolkits can be considered to be fully ready to take in decision-making roles of senior manager, or director leaving aside top executives of private companies. The software’s is there, the theory is there but what is needed is to put it in the company framework. To make the software relevant to the company is the aim.

So, we still need time to reach the top-level executive position by machines. And maybe it would always be in an assistant’s role, such as the assistant to the director of the company, so on..

Hence, at present the situation is that the machine can be an assistant to the top ranks but they at present can’t take up the top jobs for sure. All the best!
