Let’s build the future by moving toward AI-based medical approvals and licensing. Maybe in 20 years, AI will lead medical systems, but human doctors will still be needed for each nod.
Right– Read the app, but do not rely on medical apps. Refer to a doctor.
Wrong– Read App, and follow
Ethical– Approved AI-based parts such as surgical heads used by medical practitioners
Unethical-Unapproved AI use that is not certified by national or international medical institutions.
The future might change with AI assisting humans in medical procedures. But STOP, we are not in the future right now. We need to pause here. Why? Read below!
Right now, AI is not ready to be certified for medical procedures unless approved by medical practitioners, such as in robotics during operations.
Robotics in some surgeries is approved by international medical practitioners.
We need to determine which practices can be trusted with AI.
Yes, you can look in the chat bots; I do too. But relying solely on AI for a medical cure isn’t right. We are not there yet.
We are not fully there yet.
It will be reached in the future. When? The governments in a country issue licenses to practitioners, and there are exams for that too! Chatbots, get ready for exams!
But if it’s getting late, check the apps first, then go to the practitioner to get your things verified.
The practitioner can use these apps for now. Here comes the role of the government, which has the right to accept a procedure or not.
The government must add a statement in the app stating that this app is under testing and can’t be fully relied on.
The right information can be obtained from AI apps, but this is unethical because AI-based Medicines are not recognized by medical practitioners and do not hold a Medical License in your country. Which country are you from? Is your AI for medicine registered by your country?
Using AI is harmless as long as the user understands that AI is not fully present.
Using reading AI for a second opinion is not wrong, till you know you need to show the findings to a doctor.
