The current washing machines also feature AI, which is present in most models. This AI-driven feature, known as Fuzzy mode, determines the wash time and water usage using Fuzzy Logic. Now we need modern approaches; it’s time to move beyond fuzzy rule-based systems to Deep Learning-based systems. Providing users with both components: Fuzzy washing and LLM washing. How can LLM wash clothes? Well, they use sensors during training. Once trained in a supervised manner on the type of cloth, amount of dirt, and amount of water and wash needed, these can be delivered to washing machines. This enables washing machines to become more intelligent.
We need to test supervised deep learning techniques in the operation of washing machines, not just instructing the washing machine to wash or stop. We need an internal algorithm upgrade to Deep Learning now. Say if you say to the washing machine, “I am getting late, quickly wash this white shirt, add some blue conditioner, wash and dry it in 15 minutes. Hurry up”
The machine replies, “Ok. I’ll”
And then you get your white shirt in 15 minutes, iron it, and wear it. This isn’t possible with today’s machines that run on Fuzzy mode. I personally find Fuzzy mode really fuzzy. Fuzzy mode is good, but we need more.
Why not try Supervised Deep Learning on new machines? Why not personalized washing within a house as well. Sensors would be needed, experiments would be conducted, and new rules would be developed. All this on top of a talking washing machine, which tells you the time left for washing when you go near the washing machine or which sends a message on your WhatsApp that it’s done with washing.
