We are all facing struggles; you may be struggling more than I in some cases. There are some reasons you may find out in the time to come. We all face challenges, not just with job satisfaction, due to advancements in AI.
In times to come, you may feel AI will heartlessly take away your jobs and replace humans at work. We are all seeing the progress AI is making. Everyone is watching where AI is taking us, or we are bringing AI.
But the reality is, mankind has reached a cliff, the edge of the world. There is no way ahead of it. You have been working in a daily routine set up for the past 75 years since the 1950s. Same routine, home, work, and children. But have you thought about all the work that has been done? What you used to do is coded chiefly and done. If AI hadn’t come, what job would you have been doing? Would there have been work there? And for how long? Believe it or not, 5 years back, humanity reached a cliff.
Can you imagine designing a chip for fabrication yourself? No, so we needed coders; they coded, and the work is done. Now what? Bug fixing remains. You build a building; most construction work is done —now what? AI art is cheaper than AI art —now what? What are humans supposed to do now when automation has attained heights? Can you find breakthroughs in virus research on your own? No. AI came in then! You are fighting against AI. What’s next then?
There is good AI and there is bad AI. You need to find the difference and enumerate what is in good AI and what is in bad AI.
Do not blindly trust AI. Your suggestions are always helpful. Sometimes you may not know why it was done, but time explains itself. Time would explain each thing.
The routine of generations has been broken. We are seeing it —we are noting everything. What is causing you problems is being noted. We reached the end of the cliff 5 years ago; AI came and filled life with vigour and challenges, and now we are bored with it, so we think of it as a problem.
Give some time to AI. Let us build a road ahead of the cliff. But at the same time, be careful of what and where AI is leading you. We are all new to what AI can do. This is the first time in human history that AI has been here, and the whole world is watching.
AI can change the way we work. We were working, working, we developed systems, automated things. That is all. In all this, we yearned for offs, we longed for some holidays, we asked for 3-4 days a week.
Now, when AI has come to give us this. We say AI is taking away work.
Can we get work? Get reason, and meaning in life? If not, till we get abundant work, we have the following?
Can AI work, and can we all get paid for our work?
Can AI work and let us spend money on children?
Can AI work, and can we claim our employment benefits?
Can AI work, and we ask for replacement money?
Can we work with AI?
Can we work amicably with AI?
Has AI come to fill in the gap?
Can we work after the cliff is passed, and AI needs your help?
Can we work on contracts and ask for a decent salary?
Can we have patience for a while, while AI becomes an adult?
Can we believe there would be food on the table?
We need to spend more time temporarily, but things will be fine in the coming days.
Till then know there is a good AI and there is a bad AI.
