Yes, this is another new year. I am sorry for the late New Year wishes, but here they are Have a Wonderful and Prosperous New Year, 2024.

To all the ai/tech-inclined people out here.

What this new year can lead you in professional space at the micro level, which we would call micro-level gains, and what 2024 can give the world at a macro level, means what it means for world development and prosperity. Why think of world prosperity, as we live in an intertwined world, if the world is progressing and we are also using that progress, and hence its something in there for us as well, maybe new jobs, maybe better work-life balance or maybe newer better gadgets to help us in living in various ways.

Don’t be disheartened by news such as “AI to hit 40% of jobs and worsen inequality, IMF says — BBC News”. Why, firstly this is not a new year message, for sure. Next, if jobs go, then new jobs would be created. Make new goals, approach influential people who can implement those goals, and hence direct the ship of our world in these new seas of goals. This would create jobs, think of more! And help the world get more jobs! Think about what is required, share your ideas, make a product/service specs, and share it.

Yes, some amount of re-learning would be required for sure, for those who can do it and for those who can’t do the relearning, suitable jobs need to be provided, considering the background. And let’s believe new jobs will be provided as always as in history, what history? Here you have a few examples, earlier all iron things were made by hand, then people opposed using machines for making iron products, and after that, most people shifted to a new profession. Was it good at that time? Tell? Imagine in today’s world, with so much development, iron being handled by the hands of people, so was that move right? In the same way, let me give you another example, the textile industry used to handle all threads by hand to make clothes, and now there are machines to make the cloth. In today’s world would you wait for 1 year to get an order for a pair of jeans? They left, took new jobs…Not many know well in this age where AI automation will lead to, where those who leave jobs will land, and where resettlement lead to. But if you are regular with my articles you would know certain things can create more jobs. More than that people want to know where the tech and AI developments are taking us to. It would lead to a better world or its a rat race? For sure its not a rat race, so, then?

Many techy (and hence creative and intelligent people) people can do it, just if one has the courage to view ahead of the horizon. It’s not easy for those who have spent more time on all the tech and things, that have matured to be made obsolete. But let’s believe that justice may be provided for those who can’t reemploy themselves, or get into a new profession, and let’s believe help be given to those who want to start their own work.

If AI would replace jobs, people would come out with what to do with AI, if you are regular with my articles you may know some areas where new jobs can be made. Life is big, Earth is bigger and the Universe is even more elaborate. SO LETS THINK BIG!

Know the fact that robots are not yet that intelligent, chatbots are not fully correct still, and there are things that only humans can do. All we can do as of now is to run robots virtually while sitting in server rooms, to see how intelligent robots are in General Intelligence tasks.

Yes, now the world does not need so much coding of neural networks, as packages are provided by almost all players in AI for the tasks. But one can take this as an opportunity to use the new API’s to create new solutions. Yes, the fear is one day these would be automated too, but its far, I guess.

Those in safer tech jobs are comfortable, for example, product development companies, who have enough funds to keep up with the gratuity staff. It’s a long way that AI can generate complex C++ codes to automate complex software such as operating systems, for example. And finding a bug with codes, is even tougher for an AI as of now, can it find bugs, no, so maybe for those who don’t want to relearn, it’s time to go back to coding in traditional languages with product-based companies or find get accustomed to changes, not an easy for sure.

This would continue in 2024, breakthroughs, new progress, and new milestones, all we need to be focused on is our willingness to go on, adapt, and know we have reached this much, but a machine is still a machine, humans are still superior to machines. So, go ahead and make machines work, find diseases, detect volcanoes, predict whirlwinds, cloud-bursts, to mention a few, these are things humans can’t do, and we need them. Hence, have faith and change the steering of AI in the direction that is beneficial to humans and mankind at large.

So decide, plan, and then implement the directions where you want to run the ship of AI applications and Energies in AI in the YEAR 2024!
