Meta

— Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full were launched to compete with OpenAI and Anthropic models. These models are available to Muse subscribers and Muse Code subscribers, respectively. These models include active memory and active focus. Results are facinating:

ChatGPT

— GPT-6 goes free: Starting Oct 7, OpenAI rolled GPT-6 Luna out to everyone in ChatGPT. Paid users upgraded to GPT-6 Sol.

— The Decisions API for deterministic routing. It returns results when the predicate’s probability exceeds a threshold, and it includes scores with the output. Runs on GPT 6-Luna, for text + images.

— Dots update: Now can be accessed on android/iOS as well, not just desktop. It’s free for users, but Codex/Work jobs are paid tasks.

— Fired three researchers for sensitive information policy.

Google

— Gemini agent for work for multi-step objectives: it integrates tools, connects and works with Docs, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Slides, and Chat. Right now, it’s available to business accounts.

But how safe is our data ?

— Playground: Describe a theme, and it builds you an innovative game with characters you specify, mechanics you describe. It can even make multiplayer games embedded in your browser.

— SynthID Detector to check images, video, and audio for having AI-generated watermarked content. Just go to the link and upload; it works for partner AI companies too. Similar to OpenAI Verify.

— Google AI Edge Foresight with EmbeddingGemma 2 for macOS. It is a local system that keeps privacy while saving audio calls to local files using Live Assistance, creating transcripts, expanding notes, reading Drive, PPT, and more, with nothing sent to servers. It adds intelligence to these notes and even answers questions raised in the meeting, all locally.

Anthropic

— Claude Haiku 5.5 introducing up to a 90% price cut on short prompts compared to Haiku 4.5.

— Dynamic Workflows — up to 1,000 agents now allowed for a run.

Microsoft

— Maia 300: Foundational inference workhorse for multi-gigawatt data centers, becoming primary infrastructure for Microsoft AI products. Making AI deep down into the entire LLM inference system.

— GitHub Copilot would automatically run a task on device or decide to run it in the cloud.
