It feels like ages since we have heard about any habitation on Mars or Earth’s Moon or Europa, Jupiter’s moon. We want humans to inhabit Mars or the Moons. Yes, the presence of frozen water at the lunar south pole makes human habitation vastly more feasible. Are we manufacturing enough, or are we waiting for people to buy tickets? Buy tickets? But why? Is this not for humanity? They say this is how business is made, you get money then you spend people’s money and build something from it. But this was for humanity?
Who is speaking of buying tickets to Mars and the Moon!
Well, I heard of it; someone influential was saying in an interview that tickets cost up to many many hundred thousand of dollars and much much more than that. And there is no mention of Universal Income in that talk. That means people need to work to get an opportunity to visit or settle on Mars and the Moon, leave aside living there.
Well, the Moon is a nearer neighbor to Earth, so why not start with it.
Someone said to me that Universal Income means AI and Robots will do all the work. Wow, but we are not near that for sure, as yesterday only a robot punched a child’s tummy; it was on the internet. Here, https://www.youtube.com/shorts/A8K-ILroUTQ
So, we still need jobs we still need money!
Currently, billions of metric tons of water ice are detected at the Moon’s south pole. This is great news. Means humans can survive on Moon! So what are we waiting for?
So, that means our first camp can be on the Moon’s South Pole. Someone who is on timelines needs to plan the infrastructure building. We need a colony of robots to extract more metals from below the Moon’s surface to build the closed shelters humans would stay in, something like in sci-fi Hollywood movies.
We need to send robots there to do the work virtually, meaning robots controlled from Earth. This is a job too, making robots do work on the Moon remotely from Earth.
We can wait for humans to land on the Moon, but we can’t wait for robots in huge numbers- indeed, a colony of robots to land on the Moon/Mars to extract the metals, to get to testing waters on the Moon, to do more work like installation of essential services.
I said in my last article that this alone would create many jobs.
To that I was told that universal income means no one needs to work.
But hold on, wait, someone needs to send robots to the Moon. Someone needs to manage the robots and get them to do the work. There is nothing like Universal Income as of now, unless some Trillionaire donates his money to people of Earth. Unless then are no fair prizes for people going on trips to the Moon for contribution to humanity in the coming times.
There is a lot of work that needs to be done, if you don’t like the word “job”. There is really a lot of work to do, so if not, humans, robots have to do the work.
They say work will be optional; then we need to make apps so that people come in, log in, and do the work, log the work done, and leave for another person to take over.
So, let’s not hither from it, as some want universal income to take over; let it take over when the time comes. Till then, the Moon mission involves work to be done, and each task needs a human to be assigned some responsibility; this means each human needs to do some “job” and earn. Who will pay for this? Ticket price for visitors planning to visit the Moon two years later? Ticket prizes? Yes, as per interview I heard there are ticket prices to the Space will fund the building of lunar mission and pay for services on the Moon. So you need to be a Millionaire unless you get funding relief from governments. Are private companies not paying you anything in this? Are they? No, they are asking ticket prices? Are they? That too in many many hundreds of thousands of dollars.
You are talking of Ticket Prizes, but majority of people think that this work is for humanity! So where does Ticket prizes come from? So who would pay for all this work then? Who will do these jobs? The company that will send people there? There is no such talk as of now? Governments, why would governments do that unless it’s for their nationality!
So who is paying to get humanity on Moon/Mars/Europa? People themselves!
Who is paying the ticket of someone contributing to go to the Moon? Around millions of people! If each ticket costs a million, it can build huge mansions on the Moon. But that means it’s for profit, not for humanity.
What are you doing it for? Profit or Humanity? Let’s build it for now without thinking?
